Yisheng expects first-half 2026 net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company to surge to CNY 270-300 million (USD 37.60-41.78 million),driven by higher volumes and prices in its white broiler breeding business. Tight supply of imported Grandparent Stock, disrupted by avian influenza in key sourcing countries, is expected to support Parent Stock chick prices and sustain the sector’s strong cycle.
Yisheng expects a sharp rise in first-half earnings, supported by a tighter supply picture and higher volumes and prices in China’s white broiler breeding chain.
The company said in its 2026 interim earnings forecast released on the evening of June 30 that net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company is expected to reach CNY 270-300 million (USD 37.60-41.78 million) in the first half of 2026. That compares with CNY 6.16 million (USD 857,242) in the same period last year, implying growth of about 43-48 times.

Yisheng said the strong improvement was mainly driven by an upswing in the white broiler sector. Both volume and prices increased in its core white broiler business, lifting overall profitability significantly.
At the operating level, the company said its 2025 imports of Grandparent Stock (GP) white broilers increased year-on-year. This supported a sharp rise in sales of Parent Stock (PS) chicks during the current reporting period. At the same time, the domestic supply structure for white broilers remained tight, pushing Yisheng’s PS white broiler chick prices higher quarter by quarter for 3 consecutive quarters and keeping them at elevated levels.
As a result, the PS chick business became the company’s main profit driver in the period. The average selling price of Yisheng’s commercial white broiler chicks also rose year-on-year, further improving profitability.
During an investor survey with securities investment institutions last month, Yisheng said its GP white broiler imports reached 266,000 sets in 2025, accounting for more than 42% of China’s imported GP broiler volume.

Supply pressure to continue
Looking at industry supply, Yisheng said China’s GP white broiler breeding sources mainly depend on imports. Since the end of 2024, traditional import channels including the US and New Zealand have been disrupted by highly pathogenic avian influenza. At the end of 2025, avian influenza in France added further pressure to industry imports.
This meant that from January to May 2026, China recorded no additional overseas imports of GP white broilers. Based on the transmission pattern of the breeding cycle, tighter GP breeder supply will be felt in the PS breeder segment about 7 months later, and will then affect subsequent production of commercial chicks. Yisheng said the tight industry supply situation is therefore expected to continue.
“Based on this judgement, there is still room for PS chick prices to rise further, and the strong conditions in the white broiler industry is expected to continue,” the company said.
Building on the upcycle
Against the backdrop of an improving industry cycle, Yisheng said it will continue to seize opportunities in the upstream breeding-source segment of the white broiler industry. Internally, the company is advancing refined management, carrying out targeted quality and efficiency programmes, and strengthening biosecurity and disease-eradication measures.
These efforts, the company said, are aimed at improving breeder performance and farming results, while consolidating the competitive advantage of its core business.
Yisheng is also accelerating capacity release in its breeding pig business. It said it will continue to implement quality and efficiency measures, optimise product quality, strengthen the core competitiveness of its breeding-source products, and broaden room for earnings growth, thereby providing strong support for the company’s sustained and stable development.

The company is regarded as China’s, and Asia’s, largest GP broiler breeder enterprise. It currently has about 400,000 sets of GP broiler breeders in stock, 7 million sets of PS broiler breeders, and annual sales of more than 600 million commercial chicks.
Its target is to lift PS inventory to 10 million sets within the next 4 years and increase commercial chick capacity to 1 billion birds.
Alongside its broiler breeder business, Yisheng has been expanding strongly in breeding pigs. Its breeding pig products began scaling up gradually in October 2023. Sales reached nearly 30,000 head in 2024 and nearly 100,000 head in 2025. The company expects sales to reach 150,000 head in 2026.
